Chiefs, Pirates to lose out on red-hot DRC striker?

Jean Lwamba finished as joint-top scorer with 15 goals, earning him the Golden Boot in his first season in the Botswana Premier League.

Remarkably, he scored 15 goals and provided eight assists in 27 appearances.

Tafic FC chairman Tumelo Toteng says while Lwamba is ready to test his skills in South African football, there is also interest from abroad.

"There is a lot of interest. A few teams have shown interest, and we are currently engaged in negotiations with three PSL clubs," Toteng confirmed to KickOff.com.

"Additionally, two teams from Morocco have expressed their interest in the player.

"We expect to finalise everything by this Friday (20 June)."

When pressed for the names of the interested clubs, the club boss responded, "We have agreed on confidentiality until the terms have been finalised.

"Lwamba is ready for the next step, whether that is in South Africa, North Africa, or Europe. He plays as a striker, but he is also comfortable on the wing.

"His main strengths are his ability to retain the ball through strength and skill, linking play effectively, and possessing ruthless aggression in front of goal."

In an exclusive interview with this publication, as published on June 8, the player expressed his desire to play in Mzansi, saying he is willing to turn out for the likes of Chiefs and Pirates.
