With former Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro poised to join Al Ahly, the Spanish mentor has been reportedly seen as a 'new' Pitso Mosimane of the club.
The 49-year-old coach left the Buccaneers on Tuesday, following the team's Betway Premiership 3-0 win against Golden Arrows.
Riveiro is expected to join the Egyptian Premier League powerhouse Ahly as they entrust him with guiding the side positively in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Amid his reported imminent announcement at Ahly, a report from Matnnews has claimed that some of the Red Devils supporters see him as the three-time CAF Champions League winner, Mosimane.
Mosimane moved from Mamelodi Sundowns to Ahly in 2020 following a successful eight-year stint with the Brazilians, and he subsequently enjoyed a fantastic tenure with the Egyptian powerhouse.

In Cairo, the former head coach of Bafana Bafana had a successful two-year stint that saw him win several trophies, including two CAF Super Cups, one Egyptian Premier League championship, and two Champions League titles.
With Riveiro having won five cup competition trophies and led the Sea Robbers to the Champions League semi-finals this season, Ahly supporters are said to think that he can replicate what Mosimane accomplished with the club.
