Hot on the heels of some Royal AM's (now former) players' salaries being made public, a PSL club now stands accused of delaying salary payments to one of their players for over 12 months.
According to the Footballers Union of South Africa, they were forced to take serious action after Leruma United failed to honour their agreement with Nigerian-born midfielder Ade Jimoh Adeleke.

His contract with the club runs from the start of the current season and is set to expire on June 30. However, since signing, he has not received a salary.
Worth noting is that Adeleke started getting game-time in the second half of the season after his PSL card was issued.
So far, out of 13 matches in the second round, he has played in eight - starting five and coming on as a substitute in the others. He did not participate in five other fixtures where he remained an unused substitute.
The second-tier club could not be contacted by phone for comment.
"Since the 2024/25 season began, the player has not received any salary from the club," said Taelo Motloung, the secretary of FUSA, in an interview with KickOff.com.
"He has played many games this season and consistently makes the team. As a Union, we have referred this matter to FIFA, seeking payment for the player.
"His contract is nearing its end, yet he has never been paid since signing. We have requested his passport, and he provided it to us. However, it was strange that it did not include a work permit. When we inquired about the work permit, he expressed suspicion, saying: 'Eish, leader, I have always suspected that the work permit they gave me is fraudulent'.

"He showed us the supposed work permit, which was not attached to the passport, and when we checked with the Department of Home Affairs, we found it was invalid. He does not appear on their records.
"The question is, how was he registered with the PSL? We are dealing with a player who holds a PSL playing card here. This young man has never possessed a legitimate work permit while at the club. It’s clear this document is fraudulent, so the player is opening a case against the club."
