A former Al Ahly official has disclosed what contributed to Marcel Koller's departure including the "unfair" treatment shown to certain players.
Koller was dismissed by the Egyptian Premier League heavyweights recently after his side's elimination from the Cape Champions League following a defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-finals.
Nevertheless, the inability to reach the Champions League final is reportedly not the sole factor behind the Swiss manager's dismissal.

Recently, Koller faced allegations of mistreating certain players, which is one of the claimed reasons that led to Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau leaving the team earlier this year.
Now, ex-Ahly football director Khaled Bebo has revealed some of the players Koller was not on good terms with, insisting that it is one of the factors that saw him miss the chance to coach the team in the Club World Cup.
"Kohler's dream was to play in the World Cup, but not everything is up to the mood," Bebo said per Almasryalyoum.
"Kohler treated some Al Ahly players unfairly, most notably Reda Selim, Ahmed Abdelkader, Afsha, Kahraba and Dieng.

"Reda Selim could have had a bigger chance because he was doing well, but Kohler refused to give him any playing time.
"When Modeste arrived, Kahraba took a lot of playing time because he was the one who brought him in and was convinced that he had to succeed."
Ahly, Sundowns, Wydad Athletic Club, and Esperance de Tunis will represent the African continent in the world’s prestigious club-level competition in America between June and July this year
