With their two big rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates essentially done for the season, Mamelodi Sundowns will flex their muscles on the big stage for at least another five weeks.
Sundowns have wrapped up domestic business by lifting their eighth league title, which came with a R20 million winners’ cheque.

Next up is the CAF Champions League final against Pyramids FC, with the first leg at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday (15:00) and the second leg in Cairo on June 1.
The Brazilians are chasing only their second continental title, which will come with USD4 million (approx. R72,3 million) for the winners, plus a ticket to the CAF Super Cup, which offers USD500 000 (approx. R9 million).
For the runners-up in the Champions League, the purse is USD2 million (approx. R36 million).
Should all go according to plan, then Sundowns will have R20 million, plus R72,3 million, before leaving for the FIFA Club World Cup.
This puts each player at Chloorkop within good measure of pocketing a million before the windfall from the Club World to run from June 14 to July 13 in USA.
The Tshwane giants are in Group F and play Ulsan HD (South Korea) on June 17, Borussia Dortmund (Germany) on June 21, and then Brazilian giants Fluminense on June 25.
Regardless of what happens in those three matches, Sundowns will receive a handsome USD9,55 million (approx. R173 million).

So, from Sunday until end of next month, the figures of interest for the club will be at a minimum total of R265 million.
There will be further bonuses for Sundowns should they draw (R18 million) or win (R36 million) any of their group matches with a Last 16 place coming with a reward of a further R135 million.
