Following his standout performances in the ongoing 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, Mamelodi Sundowns star Lucas Ribeiro Costa has emerged as a target for several clubs around the world.
The 26-year-old forward showcased his talent against top teams such as Borussia Dortmund and Fluminense. Sundowns were placed in Group F, which also included South Korean side Ulsan HD.

Despite Ribeiro’s impressive form, the South African giants were unable to progress beyond the group stage. Nevertheless, his performances have not gone unnoticed, and several clubs are reportedly pursuing his signature.
According to Alarab, Percy Tau’s former club Qatar SC, has shown keen interest in the Brazilian attacker as they look to rebuild their squad for the new season.
The Qatari Stars League outfit recently parted ways with several players, including Tau, after narrowly avoiding relegation.
In Europe, Transferfeed reports that Turkish giants Trabzonspor are considering a move for the Masandawana star following his Club World Cup displays.
Meanwhile, French Ligue 2 club Saint-Etienne has also reportedly added Ribeiro to their summer transfer shortlist, according to Footboom.
Back in Brazil, local media have reported that Fluminense, one of the teams Ribeiro faced in the tournament, is said to be eager to bring him home.

Additionally, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, another club in the Brasileiro Serie A is said to have joined the race to sign the talented, left-footed forward from Santa Helena.
It remains to be seen whether Sundowns will let Ribeiro go or retain him as they prepare to mount a serious challenge for the CAF Champions League in the upcoming season.
