Chiefs to roll out red carpet again on signings

With three signings already unveiled at the Village, Kaizer Chiefs are set to roll out the red carpet once more with several more announcements lined up.

The July transfer window officially opened on Tuesday, and Chiefs wasted no time announcing three of their new signings for the season ahead.

The players announced were South African UK-based midfielder Ethan Chislett, Portuguese striker Flavio Silva and KZN Academy graduate Nkanyiso Shinga - all unveiled on Tuesday.

News reaching this publication is that Tuesday's developments were only the first round of announcements Chiefs will make this week.

The club is set to reveal more signings on Wednesday, ahead of their departure to the Netherlands the following day.

These signings are expected to be former Orlando Pirates duo Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako, who have been training with the squad at Naturena in recent days and have successfully passed their medicals.

Joining that list is likely Asanele Velebayi, to be signed on a free transfer from Cape Town Spurs, who were recently relegated from the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
