The financial terms being sought by Fiston Mayele for his next contract will place him further ahead of being even considered for the South African market.
Mayele has spent two years at Pyramids with his second season ending as a Champions League winner.

The Congolese scored 18 goals this past season after having delivered 21 in his first.
His targeted financial terms will push outside the reach of all teams on the continent besides his current employers and their rivals in Cairo Al Ahly.
The 31-year-old is already on USD700 000 (approx. R12,3 million) per annum at Pyramids but has intentions of doubling that by moving to Saudi Arabia.
There has been interest and talks with Al Fateh SC but the completion of that move will come with a transfer being paid to Pyramids.
Pyramids have not made any commitment in releasing their top striker who has a year left on his contract.
Al Fateh are coached by Jose Gomes who was previously with Zamalek and so knows Mayele well.
What will be of interest is that for all the speculation that has linked Mayele with the PSL there was never any chance of that happening based on his demands.
Mayele’s close ally Christian Bukasa – who is based in South Africa, has repeatedly told this website that Mayele only wanted to come to the PSL two years ago just after he left Young Africans.
Unfortunately, Kaizer Chiefs didn’t show follow up on his recommendation.

With Mayele now aiming for double what he is getting in Egypt it then places him at way ahead of the best earners in the PSL get.
The package bracket of what is considered the best earners in the PSL is R6-R10 million per annum gross.
