Last season he only played eight games and was without neither a goal nor an assist.
None of his appearances were from start to finish which explains why he only totalled 310 minutes on the field.
Then in his first season, he played 11 games and was again without a goal or a full shift.
So, in total he played less the equivalent of just under 10 games (880 minutes) over the two years that he was at Chiefs.
The 31-year-old was evidently released by the club due to performance-related reasons.
Other players already excess to requirements and not being what Nasreddine Nabi will require in the new season are Ranga Chivaviro, Sabelo Radebe, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edmilson Dove, Edson Castillo, and Bongani Sam.
Only Radebe and Dove were at Chiefs longer than two years.
