Liverpool make 'final decision' on Mbappe

Premier League giants Liverpool have reportedly made a decision on their interest on Kylian Mbappe ahead of the January transfer window.

The French forward is heading into the final six months of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, which will allow to him open talks with any club outside of France.

Mbappe noted at the start of the season that he has no desire to extend his contract with French giants, which saw him frozen out by the club in pre-season.

Real Madrid have long been linked with the World Cup winner, but Liverpool's name has also reportedly been thrown in the mix over the last few years.

However, Sky Germany have reported that the Reds have no plans to launch another attempt to convince the France international to join them with the transfer window opening next month.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has previously stated the financial aspect would not allow the club to make a move for Mbappe.

"We laugh about it," he previously told Sky Germany when asked about signing Mbappe.

"I can say that I think he's a really good player, but the financial conditions don't suit us at all. I wouldn't like to ruin the story now, but as far as I know, there's nothing to it."

Los Blancos have now been given a clear run at signing Mbappe on a free transfer next season, but PSG have reportedly not given up on getting the player to sign an extension.

Since being integrated back into the team, it's been business as usual for Mbappe who 14 goals in 12 Ligue 1 appearances.
