Following a recent social media post, it’s clear that AmaZulu FC star Ramahlwe Mphahlele could never fool anyone into thinking he doesn’t have a massive soft spot for classic cars. Here's a look!
The story
Mphahlele is set to wrap up his third season in Usuthu colours next month, having been a mainstay in the KwaZulu-Natal team since his move from Kaizer Chiefs.
The veteran defender boasts an accomplished career, with previous stints at Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, Moroka Swallows, and the University of Pretoria.

Among his greatest achievements are two South African league titles and a CAF Champions League crown.
However, it’s also believed that one of his most prized assets is his BMW Gusheshe — a car that needs no introduction in South Africa.
This week, Mphahlele gave his followers and fans another glimpse into his undeniable taste for retro vehicles.
The centre-back shared images on Instagram, posing with what appears to be a Mercedes-Benz C114.
The vehicle in question is often referred to as the Mercedes-Benz “Stroke Eight”, with its origins dating back to the late 1960s. The Gusheshe, meanwhile, traces its roots to the 1980s.
While it cannot be confirmed whether Mphahlele owns the vintage Mercedes-Benz he was spotted with, what is clear is that classic cars have a strong appeal for the player.
Or it could simply be a coincidence that he seemingly has two German classics at his disposal.
