Coach Rulani Mokwena's side, MC Alger, have reportedly submitted a bid for a star who was heavily linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs in recent months.
According to Transfermarkt, MC Alger have already signed three players since Mokwena’s arrival.
These include goalkeeper Alexis Guendouz from Persepolis in Iran, midfielder Sid Ahmed Aissaoui from CSKA Moscow in Russia, and right-back Aimen Bouguerra from fellow Algerian side CS Constantine.

Notably, MC Alger were said to be keen on signing Cassius Mailula from Toronto FC following a recommendation by Mokwena.
However, the move eventually fell through after last-minute differences between the parties involved.
Nevertheless, MC Alger’s transfer business is not yet over, with the club now reported to have set their sights on Tanzania international Feisal Salum.
According to AfricaFoot, MC Alger have tabled a bid of $200,000 (R3.5 million) to sign the Azam FC playmaker.
The report claims the offer was rejected by Azam FC, as they deemed it below their valuation of Salum.
Salum has long been linked with a move to Chiefs, while more recently he has also been associated with a potential switch to Fadlu Davids' Simba SC.
It is further reported that MC Alger have not ruled out the possibility of returning with an improved bid to secure Salum’s signature.
