With Jose Riveiro facing mounting pressure at Al Ahly, it has been claimed that the Spaniard is not receiving the same backing that coach Pitso Mosimane was shown during his tenure.
Riveiro's season as Al Ahly boss has not got off to a great start.
Although they are yet to lose, Al Ahly have won just one game and drawn two, resulting in a wave of criticism aimed at their relatively new coach.

Tension has begun to grow between Riveiro and a section of Al Ahly supporters, while some in the media, including former players and pundits, have seemingly begun to turn on the former Orlando Pirates manager.
Ahmed Shobier, a former Al Ahly player turned broadcaster, insists that previous managers like Mosimane were shown better protection from criticism than Riveiro.
According to Nabd.com, Shobier explained: "I see that Riveiro has been surrendered over a little to the fans.
"The people who are supposed to defend him are not defending him.
"He needs to be defended, people need to speak well of him, and he needs support, just as Al Ahly supported Weiler, Mosimane, and Koller at times.
"But what I see with Riveiro is that he was handed over too early."
