The South African coach, who led Simba to a second-place finish in the 2024/25 season, is said to have submitted a report to his superiors, which was reviewed in the meeting.
According to Soka la Bongo, the report included Davids' preferred new signings for next season, with Feisal Salum of Azam FC listed as a top priority.
Salum has been linked with a move to Chiefs for the better part of the year, but a deal involving the Tanzanian playmaker is yet to materialise into serious interest.
Talks between Simba and Salum's camp are said to have already been initiated following Davids' recommendation.
The Tanzanian outlet Soka la Bongo claims a source revealed: "The coach has requested strengthening for Jean Charles Ahoua’s position — meaning there should be another player in the number 10 role, someone who can both score and provide assists."
