JUST IN: MTN8 Final ticket sales details revealed

With the venue for the MTN8 final already confirmed, the PSL has announced important ticketing details for the highly anticipated fixture between Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC.

The PSL confirmed on Friday morning that tickets for the final will go on sale on Monday, 1 September, while the price for each ticket will be R100.

The League also confirmed that the tickets will go on sale at 10:00.

Mbombela Stadium boasts a capacity of just under 45,000, and the 2010 FIFA World Cup venue is expected to sell out well ahead of the final, which is scheduled for Saturday, 13 September.

Meanwhile, the clash between Bucs and the Winelands outfit will be a repeat of last year's edition, albeit at Moses Mabhida Stadium down in Durban.

That encounter ended in a 3-1 scoreline in favour of the Soweto giants, sealing a record-breaking third consecutive MTN8 title for them.

For Steve Barker's men, the 2025/26 edition marks another chance to lift the cup competition for the first time in the club's history.

While Pirates have ruled over the MTN8 with an iron fist over the last three seasons, this will be a first cup final bite of the cherry for new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.

Pirates will draw confidence from the last time they played a final at Mbombela, in the Nedbank Cup, which ended 2-1 in their favour against Mamelodi Sundowns in June 2024.
