Former Moroka Swallows fullback Peter Petersen talks about the 'incredible' own goal he scored, reveals the car model that stole his heart, and more, in this edition of My First.
My First School:
"The first school I attended was Marine Primary School in Cape Town. I distinctly remember crying non-stop on my first day [laughs]. I was always crying."

My First Kiss:
"The funny thing is, it happened on church premises. I was about 11 or 12 years old, and while playing with a group of girls, I just stole a kiss."
My First Child:
"I was 22 years old when she was born, and I was playing for Moroka Swallows. That was in 2002."
My First Favourite Club:
"Orlando Pirates. I’m a Bhakaniya. They had fantastic players like Helman Mkhalele, Brandon Silent, and Dumisa Ngobe."
My First Soccer Boots:
"My first pair of soccer boots were Puma. I got them from the amateur club I used to play for when I was 11 years old. Before that, I played barefoot."
My First Red Card:
"I received so many red cards that I can't even remember my first one."
My First Own Goal:
"I was playing at the Hellenic development when I scored a memorable own goal. It was a shot from outside the box, I hit it with my toe, and it went straight into the far corner [laughs]. It was a cracker!"
My First Individual Award:
"I won the Player of the Year award at my amateur club."
My First Trophy With A Club:
"I won the Absa Cup with Swallows."

"My first car was an Opel Corsa. I had just joined Swallows and was looking for a VW, but when I arrived at the car dealership, I saw the Opel Corsa and it stole my heart."
