Former Bafana Bafana captain Thulani "Tyson" Hlatshwayo has been spotted behind the wheel of a stunning supercar, just weeks after the sale of his club, SuperSport United.
The Story
Hlatshwayo, who previously played for Orlando Pirates, now finds himself without a team once again following the sale of Matsatsantsa ahead of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.

The Tshwane-based club's top-flight status was recently sold to businessman Calvin Lee John, a relative of Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie.
While the club has been renamed Siwelele FC, plans to retain key staff including CEO Stan Matthews, the technical team, and several players, Hlatshwayo's future remains uncertain as his contract officially expired on June 30.
Despite the professional uncertainty, the 35-year-old veteran defender seems to be enjoying life off the pitch. He was recently pictured spending quality time with his son, alongside his eye-catching ride, a Volkswagen Golf 8 R.
The Golf 8 R, equipped with a 2.0 litre turbocharged TSI engine, is known for its speed performance and sleek design.
In South Africa, this premium hot car is priced at around R950,000 to just over R1 million, depending on optional extras and customisations.
Take a look at some of the photos the former now-defunct Bidvest Wits captain shared on Instagram.

Whether or not Siwelele opts to retain him, Hlatshwayo will likely continue his search for a new club as the 2025/26 campaign draws closer.
