Former Kaizer Chiefs centre-back Valery Nahayo appears to be enjoying a pleasantly interesting life, with the retired star seemingly now based in Belgium. Here's a look!
The story
Nahayo is still held in high regard by the Amakhosi faithful, with many fans convinced he was one of the best centre-backs in the PSL during his time at Naturena.
Tall, physically dominant, composed, and confident with the ball at his feet, Nahayo was arguably ahead of his time thanks to his ability on the ball and playing out from the back.

It’s no surprise that Belgian top-flight side KAA Gent paid €1 million (R20 million) to lure him away from Chiefs in 2011, according to Transfermarkt.
A massive fee at the time, his price tag still makes him Amakhosi’s second most expensive transfer exit, behind Knowledge Musona.
Nevertheless, the former Burundi defender seems to be reaping the rewards of his successful career.
Five years after retiring, Nahayo is often seen travelling, thanks to holding three passports—from Burundi, Belgium, and South Africa—which he proudly showcased on his official Facebook page.
Dinners with his significant other in Ghent and Brussels appear to be a regular occurrence for Nahayo, while he also makes sure to check in at his birthplace in Bujumbura, Burundi.
Nahayo has also not lost his swagger, with his fashion choices remaining well in line with modern trends.
