Inside Nkota's training camp as he hits the ground running

Mohau Nkota, the former Orlando Pirates sensation, has finally arrived in Saudi Arabia and is already making his presence felt as he gears up for the upcoming season.

The story

The 20-year-old winger signed a three-year deal with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq, following an impressive 2024/25 campaign with the Buccaneers.

His move marks a major step in his young career, and expectations are high as he begins this new chapter in the Middle East.

Nkota recently travelled to Saudi Arabia after a brief stop in South Africa, where he collected his belongings and bid farewell to the Pirates faithful.

Interestingly, after signing with Al-Ettifaq in mid-July, Nkota didn’t immediately head to Saudi Arabia. Instead, he remained in Spain, where he was still training with Pirates during their pre-season preparations for the new Betway Premiership campaign.

Coincidentally, Al-Ettifaq were also holding their pre-season camp in Spain from July 10 to August 7, 2024. Nkota linked up with his new teammates there, allowing him to ease into the squad before officially joining them in Saudi Arabia.

Following the conclusion of pre-season, the young star briefly returned to South Africa before recently reuniting with Al-Ettifaq to continue preparations.
