Deal imminent? Zambian attacker spotted at Pirates

Orlando Pirates look set to bolster their attacking option with yet another striker spotted at the club's pre-season camp.

The Buccaneers got their pre-season camp underway last week at Sturrock Park in Johannesburg last week.

However, training footage has revealed that there is a new face within the team that is yet to be officially unveiled by the club.

That face is former Chippa United striker Enock Sakala Jnr. The 23-year-old made just six appearances last season for the Chilla Boys, but standing at over 185 metres tall is understood to be an exciting prospect.

The Zambian striker scored one goal during his brief spell with Chippa last season, having only joined the East London-based outfit in February.

Meanwhile, if indeed signed, Sakala will face stiff competition for a chance to lead Pirates' attack as Tshegofatso Mabasa and Evidence Makgopa have established themselves as Pirates' main strikers.

Additionally, Zakhele Lepasa has returned to full training, and although rumours of an exit persist, the striker is part of Pirates' pre-season preparations. Boitumelo Radiopane is also in the mix, although the 22-year-old is yet open find his footing in Pirates' first team.

The Sea Robbers will depart for Spain, where they undergo their pre-season preparations, which will include four friendly matches from the 11th to the 19th of July.
