The former SuperSport United midfielder still dominated football discussions that he would be a huge addition to any club that would sign him as a free agent.
Kaizer Chiefs were strongly linked with the 27-year-old, especially after his agent Mike Makaab revealed that he offered him to the Gold and Black.
The Buccaneers, however, emerged with an envied street cred, after they sensationally announced the signing of the Bafana Bafana midfielder.
Mbule was among the new signings this week, who went through an induction process at the Mighty Bucs, which included serious talk with club legends such as Motale, Lucky Lekgwathi and Happy Jele, among others.
The Bethlehem native midfielder's talent is not doubted but concerns remains of his off-the-field behaviour.
Motale, however, has reassured The Pirates supporters, that he spoke with Mbule that he will need to be disciplined to succeed at The Mighty Bucs.
"We spoke about things like behaviour on and off the field. Sometimes an environment can change a player, we spoke about how to choose friends," Motale revealed the intimate details of his conversation with Mbule, exclusively to KickOff.com.

"Friends can also change a player. You need to choose the right friends. The environment in Jozi, akulalwa (there's no sleep), it's busy.
"Unlike in Polokwane, where it is only busy on weekends. In Jozi it's busy Monday to Monday. That discipline is wanted, you need to adjust, that I'm no longer in Polokwane, I'm in Jozi, it's busy here," 'Magents' said.
"But we spoke well, we understood each other, we're on the same page, as well as other players," the former Bafana Bafana defender added.
