With interest from Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and previously Kaizer Chiefs, the considerations Stellenbosch FC's Fawaaz Basadien will have to make when choosing his destination have been laid out.
Basadien is widely expected to leave Stellenbosch ahead of the new season. Where his destination will be, though, remains anyone's guess.

Chiefs were the leading candidates but saw two of their bids turned down last season and have seemingly moved on, with the acquisition of Nkanyiso Shange and Paseka Mako.
The Bafana Bafana international is, however, still under contract at the Winelands, with his current employers having proven to be tough negotiators when it comes to their key players.
They will only accept a handsome fee for their captain.
Speaking on SABC Sport's Soccer Zone, former Banyana Banyana captain Simphiwe Dludlu explained why Basadien's next move will be his most important.
"I think he will look at the past history of the other players that have gone to the north, what challenges they have had, having to be there and getting affected as to getting into Bafana Bafana because that is where he wants to be
"You look at him, he has played 46 matches in all competitions for Stelllies, he scored seven goals, he assisted eight times. So, he is a good acquisition as a defender, left full-back. We have seen that at Swallows, Stellies, and he has even played for Bafana.

"So, I think it is going to be important for him to make a sane decision, to make sure that he gets game-time. It is a critical year for him to stay there because he has to be on a team where he is going to get game-time.
"Bafana is around the corner, for the qualifiers, for the Afcon and for the future. He is only 28 years old," detailed the meticulous football analyst.
