OFFICIAL: Another coaching arrival at Pirates

Orlando Pirates have secured the services of a former SuperSport United DStv Diski Challenge coach after the Tshwane outfit had their topflight status ownership exchange hands. 

Former Matsatsantsa's DDC coach Roscoe Krieling has confirmed his move to the Soweto giants ahead of the new season.

Just days after the exit of U21 coach Simon Mangare, Pirates have roped in the experienced Krieling, whose role is yet to be confirmed within the club's structures.

Krieling won the 2022/23 DStv Diski Challenge league title ahead of both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs. He also oversaw the promotion of over 20 players from the Reserves team to the senior side during his four years at Matsatsantsa.

These include the likes of Thapelo Maseko, Shandre Campbell, and Neo Rapoo, who recently lifted the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile, Pirates' Reserves finished fifth last term in the DDC, with SuperSport placing fourth. The league title went to Amakhosi, who collected 22 wins from their 28 matches.
