With protests in the second tier always emerging towards the end of the season, Durban City chairman Farouk Kadodia has suggested a solution to the PSL.
It did not come as shock to football followers when the PSL announced, a week prior to the last matchday in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, that the trophy handover would not be taking place due to a protest lodgedby JDR Stars against City, who were top of the standings.

Even though the PSL's DC ruled in favour of City in the hearing that took place on Tuesday, regarding the eligibility case of Saziso Magawana, the League still allowed Cape Town Spurs to make a new protest only on the same evening, against The Team of Choice, regarding the same player.
In previous years, there have been instances wherelegal matters dragged on for months, especially with appeals lodged, thus tarnishing the integrity of the National First Division.
KickOff.com asked Kadodia, a weather-beaten club boss, on what the long-term solution to these opportunistic protests at the end of the season could be.
He has suggested the PSL should not allow matters from the first round to be brought before the Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) or Disciplinary Committee (DC) after the first round is completed, to avoid last-minute legal chaos.
"I think first is to look at the substance before affording (opportunity) to go to the DRC," said Kadodia.
"All these teams protesting, (it's matters) from the first round, nobody had a protest from day one. Why now?
