SuperSport United stand-in coach Andre Arendse says the team will continue to put up a fight in their bid to stay in the Betway Premiership.
The Bafana Bafana legend was pleased with their defensive performance, but demands them to manage the moments during games better.
At the same time, the three-time PSL champions need to keep going and put on a brave face in order to sign their campaign off on a high note this weekend.
“Yeah, it is - that’s the kind of luck we got at the moment. When you down in the situations like we are, it’s a thing you don’t get the rub of the green. It’s ok, I can look for excuses, but I thought it was a solid performance- defensively solid,” Arendse told SuperSport TV.
“Then, these are the moments we got to manage better and we know that. But we got to keep the team going, there’s no question and we’ll do that. We got a bunch of guys whose really struggled their way through this season.
“We’re trying to get more out of them and fair play to them, they giving everything that they have got. We just don’t have the luck in the final third and when you don’t have that – then ok we got to be looking for these things but we got to keep going."
A huge six-pointer against Richards Bay FC awaits Matsatsantsa on the final day on Saturday, and the legendary goalkeeper has backed his men to get over the line.
“Massive one for us, there’s plenty positives, plenty positives. So, we’ll look to maybe see if we need to refresh the team a little bit. There’s some heavy legs out there, a lot of these guys have played consecutively in the last five six games,” Arendse said.
“So, we need to freshen things up a little bit, we’ll look at that on the training ground and see who’s ready to step up and that and what the legs is going to give us. I got all the confidence in this group of players.
"We going to have to do it the hard way, but like I said I got full confidence that this group is going to see this over the line,” he added.
