The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will carry unparalleled significance for Lucas Ribeiro Costa as he takes aim at delivering the same way he has done both locally and on the continent for Mamelodi Sundowns.
Ribeiro Costa has improved his goals/assists contribution from 25 last season to 32 and counting this season with the Club World Cup just around the corner.

He closed off the domestic season on Sunday evening with a brace against Magesi FC, putting him up as the Top Goalscorer in waiting.
"I’m anticipating watching him at the Club World Cup next month because of what he has been doing at Sundowns," says Freitas Camilo, a retired Brazilian footballer who played for Orlando Pirates.
Ribeiro Costa will have global interest zooming in on him next month when Sundowns arrive at the FIFA Club World Cup.
"A lot of people who don’t know about him here in Brazil will get to see him for the first time.
"So, this is a wonderful opportunity for the boy, especially considering that all he needs to do is continue doing what he has been doing all along.
"Playing for Sundowns is not to be underestimated because this is a club able to bring players from Europe and also due to play in the Champions League final.
"Having previously played in South Africa, it is extremely difficult for me not to follow another Brazilian playing in the PSL.
"I think the rest of Brazil will fall in love with him once they see him playing.
