Congolese forward Christian Saile Basomboli has dwindling chances of ever playing for his parent club Kaizer Chiefs.
Basomboli has been on loan at SuperSport United since the beginning of the year after the two years he spent at Chiefs didn’t live up to expectations.

What led to his departure from Chiefs – where he has since been replaced by fellow countryman Glody Makabi Lilepo – is his poor return in front of goals.
The 25-year-old played 56 games for AmaKhosi and scored seven with a further four assists.
This was considered not good enough and thus he was loaned out to the troubled Tshwane club where he has scored four in 14 matches.
With these numbers, Basomboli has a worrying scoring rate of one goal with every 380 minutes of football that he plays.
He has scored 11 in almost 4200 minutes (70 appearances).
While Basomboli has now scored in consecutive league games, he will not be kept at SuperSport whose future as a club is uncertain.
Besides fighting to avoid the play-offs, there have been reports suggesting Matsatsantsa will be sold.
Basomboli will still have another year left on his contract at Naturena upon the expiry of his loan at SuperSport but there are no plans to retain him any further.

Should Nabi stay on at Chiefs next season, his eyes are on two attackers likely to come from outside the South African borders.
Chiefs have Fiacre Ntwari, Edmilson Dove, Inacio Miguel, Edson Castillo, and Lilepo as the five players registered as foreigners.
