Parker's agent - 'He is only disappointed in the player for not showing remorse'

TS Galaxy attacker Bernard Parker shared his gratitude to all fans who showed their support after suffering a horrific injury during Wednesday's Carling Knockout Cup encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Parker was rushed to hospital after breaking his leg following a reckless challenge from Sundowns' Bongani Zungu at Mbombela Stadium.

Parker was left with a broken leg following Zungu's reckless challenge as Sundowns crashed out of the Carling Knockout Cup after a penalty shootout at the Mbombela Stadium.

The former Bafana Bafana striker underwent surgery on his injured leg ealrier Thursday afternoon. 

Parker's representative, Charley Pieterson shared that his client has been left disappointed with Zungu's reaction following the incident.

"He is going for an operation this afternoon," Pieterson tells KickOff.

"He is only disappointed in the player for not showing any remorse. But he is not really upset with the player.

"He is not upset, but just disappointed about the player who committed the foul for showing no remorse, because he was expecting to receive an apology. 

"He is grateful to all South Africans for their support. and to his team for being behind him during this difficult period."
