Dim lights for Pirates midfielder…

The confirmation of Orlando Pirates’ new signings has paved the way for escape route possibilities at the club as new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou gets going with preparations for the new season.

Besides Ouaddou coming in as the new head coach, Pirates have been busy on the market as they seek to make reinforcements for the 2025/26 season.

The Buccaneers have the MTN8 to defend and will play in the Betway Premiership, Carling Knockout Cup, Nedbank Cup, and the CAF Champions League.

With all that football to play, they have confirmed Sipho Mbule, Sihle Nduli, Tshepo Mashiloane, Yanela Mbuthuma, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Masindi Nemtajela, Tshepang Moremi, and Nkosikhona Ndaba with Malian midfielder Abdoulaye Mariko also coming in.

This has left Karim Kimvuidi facing transfer possibilities after two years at the club with indications of discussions already underway.

He only played once from start to finish in his first season before his minutes count then dropped in his second.

There was also only one 90 minutes shift and no involvement at all in 37 matches.

This drop is what has left the Congolese unsettled and initiated discussions from his camp about giving him the keys to the exit gate.

However, for that exit to happen, there has to be a transfer paid as the Congolese still has a running contract at the Soweto giants.

So, the call will come from the club.

Kimvuidi takes up one of five foreign spots at Pirates and with his need for regular minutes, he could be set for a loan if no permanent transfer is secured.
