Where are Chiefs' signings? Jessica responds

Kaizer Chiefs boss Jessica Motaung has addressed the big question hanging in the air as the club's rivals wrap up their transfer business for the 2025/26 season.

The Glamour Boys are under pressure to reveal their cards regarding transfer business ahead of the pre-season camp, which kicks off at the start of July.

Making matters worse is that neighbours Orlando Pirates have already announced a massive eight signings.

Among them is one Sipho Mbule, who had been offered by his agent Mike Makaab to Chiefs before any likely deal was 'hijacked' by Bucs, much to the Khosi Nation's dismay.

"Great to hear the players come back. I see they have maintained their fitness. That's what I love. I see they are focused and ready to come and face the challenges that they have," said Motaung at the Village on Thursday.

"Certainly, we are working on the intakes for the new season and I know that the technical team, as well as the sporting department, is working closely to make sure that they are looking at different types of players and signing the players for the next season.

"Hopefully, we will see some of those signings at the Toyota Cup and in the pre-season. But also, the window is open for a period of time, so we are not closed off and saying the signings we make now are fast and final.

"Certainly, there is a lot of work being done to make sure that we realise the vision, which is to continue ascending locally and on the African continent in terms of our rightful place and where we should be as Kaizer Chiefs," she continued.

Amakhosi will put their might to the test against Dutch opposition during their time in Europe, between July 4 and 19. This will include one match played behind closed doors against FC Utrecht.

The other four fixtures will be against Vitesse Arnhem, NEC Nijmegen, PEC Zwolle, and FC Twente Enschede.

After that, they will return home to prepare to take on Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in the Toyota Cup on 26 July.
