Cassius Mailula has become the fifth South African to score at the FIFA Club World Cup. Here's a look at five Mzansi stars who have found the net at the tournament.
The Story
Mailula got on the scoresheet as his side, Wydad Athletic Club, suffered a 2–1 defeat to Al Ain in their final group game of the Club World Cup campaign.

Although the Moroccan club made an early exit, their South African players certainly made an impact.
Wydad scored just two goals in the tournament — both netted by South Africans: Mailula and Thembinkosi Lorch.
Meanwhile, Bafana Bafana striker Iqraam Rayners is now the highest-scoring South African in Club World Cup history, having scored against both Ulsan HD and Borussia Dortmund.
His Mamelodi Sundowns teammate, Lebo Mothiba, also opened his Club World Cup account by scoring against Dortmund.
Notably, before this year’s tournament, Percy Tau had been the only South African to score at the Club World Cup, having done so for Sundowns back in 2016.
