Pitso Mosimane's troubles are getting worse in Saudi Arabia with relegation looming.

If ever Pitso Mosimane never knew about what bad to worse means, then Saturday gave him a personal experience as his Saudi club Abha FC suffered another heavy defeat.

Mosimane’s club had a must win away match against fellow strugglers Al Akhdoud but while they put in a fight and missed a penalty, they ended up being whipped.

A 4-0 scoreline at the end of 90 minutes meant Abha have now failed to win in 25 consecutive away league games.

For Mosimane, this is now the worst run of results that he has ever had to put up with in his career.

Earlier this month, Mosimane watched in despair as Abha were massacred 8-0 by Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.

Then 10 days ago, Abha also suffered a 5-0 embarrassment away to Al Shabab.

This means Abha’s last three defeats have come at a heavy cost of 17 goals conceded.

Abha have moved back to second from bottom in this relegation battle that has five games remaining and will need Mosimane to pull up a magical wand to stay up.

It gets no easier with the next against Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante’s Al Ittihad.

Despite all these bad results for Mosimane, his team remans within touching distance of safety and can still stay up if they get consecutive victories while the two teams above them freeze.

Abha have 25 points, Al Tai 26 with the team in the last safety position Al Akhdoud on 27.

This is Mosimane’s first ever relegation relegated job and will come with top rewards if he rescues Abha from the drop.

Mosimane joined Abha at the beginning of the year on a deal running up to the end of the season on May 27.

The former Bafana Bafana coach has won three drawn two and lost five in the 10 games that he has been in charge of to date.
