The reason behind Antonio Rudiger and Luis Suarez's heated exchange on Tuesday appears to have been brought to light.
Rudiger and Suarez had to be separated by teammates and match official Felix Brych after clashing during Chelsea's 1-0 UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first-leg victory over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

The pair were involved in a shoving match late in the second half after challenging for the ball, although the reason for the heated exchange appears to have stemmed from some nefarious conduct by the Uruguay striker.
Video replays show Suarez reaching down behind Rudiger's leg during the challenge and pinching the German defender at the back of his thigh just below his knee, prompting an angry reaction from the Chelsea star.
This is not the first time that the Atleti star has resorted to dark arts against the Blues, having previously received a lengthy suspension for biting Branislav Ivanovic during his spell with fellow Premier League side Liverpool.
