Pyramids 'calm' Jurcic exit rumours as Rulani speculation grows

Pyramids FC have reportedly shut down any exit rumours regarding the current head coach Krunoslav Jurcic amid recent links to Rulani Mokwena.

Recent rumours suggested that Mokwena is negotiating with the Sky Blues and could be set to take over as head coach for the Egyptian Premier League outfit.

Jurcic recently led Pyramids FC to their first-ever CAF Champions League title, defeating Mamelodi Sundowns in the final last month. Despite this historic achievement, his future at the club is said to be uncertain.

Meanwhile, Mokwena, who has also been linked with a move to Zamalek, has been without a club since parting ways with Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club last month.

While speculation continues to swirl around Mokwena’s potential move to Pyramids FC, reports from Egypt have indicated that the club is, in fact, close to extending Jurcic’s contract.

"We are in the final stages of negotiations with Jurcic to renew his contract," a source told Arabic publication Mr.khabars.

"There is a mutual desire between the two parties to continue, especially after the historic coronation of the African Champions League title.
