The waiting list that Lehlogonolo Matlou finds himself stuck on at Kaizer Chiefs has come with the breakdown of his input at the club, putting him as a risky player.
Matlou will exhaust his three-year deal at the end of June, which he signed upon moving from Moroka Swallows.

What has he done at the club in those three years playing in midfield areas, which allow him to play with his foot on the accelerator, is now under the microscope.
His first season contribution under Arthur Zwane was 15 appearances, which mostly came from the bench as he totalled 382 minutes.
He wasn’t involved in 22 games.
Then, into his second season playing under Molefi Ntseki and Cavin Johnson, his minutes went up to 489, though he only played 10 games.
Injury issues meant he missed 25 matches.
For the 2024/25 season, it was 15 played (448 minutes) and no involvement in 20.
So, in three years, Matlou has always played (40) less than he has missed (67) and came out with no goals to his name and just three assists.
Injuries have defined his stay at Chiefs.
From the games he played, out of a possible 3660 minutes he was on the pitch for 1319 minutes.
This comes down to playing 36% of the minutes that were available in the games that he was involved in.
There was another 67 games accounting for 6090 minutes, in which he wasn’t involved at all.
Beyond that, it means throughout his three years at Naturena, his game involvement was 37% (40 out of 107).
