An official statement on the club's website read: "FC Barcelona and Real Betis Balompié have reached an agreement on the transfer of Alex Collado. FC Barcelona retains the right to a percentage of any future sale.
"The midfielder from Sabadell arrived at the Barça youth set up back in 2010 as an U14 player and quickly proved his talent at La Masia. Collado moved through the age categories, helping the U19s claim the UEFA Youth League title in 2018.
"Next came a spell with Barça Atlètic in which he scored 18 goals in 83 appearances as well as becoming captain of the team. Collado's performances earned him a debut with the first team and after two official appearances for Barça, he left on loan first for Granada and then last season for Elche.
"With 34 appearances in La Liga behind him, Collado will be looking to add to that total with Real Betis."
