Things turn sour for Aziz Ki at Wydad?

It is now reported that things have turned sour for Stephane Aziz Ki at Wydad Athletic Club, and the Burkina Faso international could soon leave the Moroccan giants.

In late May 2025, it was revealed that Aziz Ki had signed for Wydad from Tanzanian giants Young Africans.

The move came as something of a surprise in some quarters, as Aziz Ki had been courted by several clubs from across the continent, with Wydad not among those heavily linked with his signature at the time.

Nevertheless, it was reported that the lure of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup played a part in the winger's decision to join the Casablanca outfit.

According to Transfermarkt, Aziz Ki penned a two-year contract running until June 2027, but his impact at the club is yet to be felt.

The 29-year-old played a mere nine minutes at the Club World Cup, as he was below the likes of Thembinkosi Lorch and Nordin Amrabat in the pecking order in his preferred wide positions.

Reports in Morocco now suggest that his limited game time is due to coach Amine Benhachem not being particularly convinced by his abilities.

As such, Arabic outlet Al-Botola claims that Aziz Ki is now one of the most likely foreign stars to leave Wydad ahead of next season.

It is said that Wydad need to reduce the number of foreign players in their squad to five in order to avoid breaching Botola Pro 1 regulations, but as things stand, they currently have eight.

As such, it is reported that Aziz Ki is a likely casualty of the situation, and if Wydad succeed in signing Lorch, it would further complicate matters for the former.
