Carabao Cup wrap

Arsenal 2-0 Leeds United

Arsenal secured passage to the Carabao Cup last eight with a 2-0 victory over Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Mikel Arteta gave a start to Bernd Leno in goal while Mohamed Elneny and Gabriel Martinelli were also recalled to the starting line-up.

Callum Chambers, who replaced Ben White in the second half, opened the scoring for the Gunners with his first goal of the season in the 55th minute.

Eddie Nketiah got the second goal for the Gunners in the 69th minute, which proved to be enough for a spot in the quarter-finals.

Cheslea 1-1 Southampton

Chelsea advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating Southampton on penalties at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel's charges got the breakthrough a minute before the interval as Kai Havertz got his fourth goal of the season with a towering header.

Chelsea didn't have to wait too long for the equaliser as Che Adams fired home in the 47th minute after Kepa could only parry Kyle-Walker Peters' strike.

The game finished all sqaure after 90 minutes and the game was to be decided by penalties, where Reece James netted the winning kick after Will Smallbone blazed over for Southampton.
