New Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany is reportedly looking to bring in an Arsenal star as his first signing for the German giants.
Kompany was officially unveiled as the Bavarians manager this week following his switch from relegated Burnley.
The Belgian will be looking to bolster the squad ahead of the new season, which includes reinforcements for the defence.

According to the Mirror, the Bavarians are keeping an eye on Gunners full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has fallen down the pecking order at the Gunners.
The Ukraine was the first choice left-back during his first season with the Gunners last term, but ended this campaign as third choice behind Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jakub Kiwior.
Kompany has a history with Zinchenko, having played with the Ukrainian during his time at Manchester City before he retired from football.
Meanwhile, current Bayern left-back Alphonse Davies could reportedly end up changing his mind and staying with the Bavarians beyond next season.
Reports in Germany claim that Davies could sign a contract extension due to the arrival of Kompany, who is keen to keep the Canada international.
