Former Kaizer Chiefs star Knowledge Musona has survived relegation in the Gulf region in a dramatic end of the Saudi Pro League season.
Al-Okhdood Club had a poor 2024/25 season where they had to fight in the recent number of games to ensure they remain in the Saudi Arabian top-flight.

On the final day of the season, Musona's side needed a victory against Al-Khaleej and had to rely on Al-Wehda losing their match in order to maintain their top-flight status.
Fortunately, Al-Okhdood secured a last-gasp 3-2 win over Al-Khaleej, with the decisive goal coming in the 90th minute. Meanwhile, Al-Wehda saw their hopes dashed after conceding a stoppage-time goal to lose 2-1 against Al-Ettifaq.
Al-Okhdood ended the season in 15th place, just one position and one point clear of the relegation zone. Al-Wehda, along with Al-Orobah FC and Al Raed FC, were the unfortunate sides to drop to the First Division League.

Musona, who joined Al-Okhdood from fellow Saudi side Al-Riyadh in August 2024, made a notable impact in his debut season. He scored five goals and registered three assists in 30 league games.
The Zimbabwean international’s leadership and timely contributions were key in steering Al-Okhdood to safety, as they now look ahead to rebuilding and improving in the 2025/26 season.
