South Africa Under-20 goalkeeper Fletcher Lowe has signed a new deal with a Portuguese top-tier club following his standout performances at the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 18-year-old shot-stopper played a huge role in Amajita’s historic tournament victory, helping SA secure their first-ever U20 AFCON title with a 1-0 win over Morocco in the final.

Moreover, his exceptional performances between the sticks for coach Raymond Mdaka's side earned him the prestigious Goalkeeper of the Tournament award.
Lowe has now sealed a three-year contract with the Primeira Liga outfit Estoril Praia, which will see him at the club until June 2028.
The Portugal-based star joined Estoril U19 from Benfica U17 in July 2024 and he will be hoping to make his first team debut for the Lisbon-based club next season.

His commitment to Estoril also ends speculation linking him with a potential move back to SA, where Kaizer Chiefs were reportedly showing interest in bringing the rising star home.
