It has now been revealed how much Fadlu Davids's Simba SC will receive from CAF after the South African coach guided the team to the final of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Last Sunday, Simba missed out on a maiden Confederation Cup title after losing 3-1 on aggregate to RS Berkane.

Having missed the opportunity to become the first-ever South African coach to win the Confederation Cup, Davids admitted that the defeat to RS Berkane was painful, particularly as it was the second time he had lost to the same Moroccan side.
"To be honest, I'm disappointed. This is the second time I've lost a CAF Confederation Cup final to RS Berkane. The first was when I was with Orlando Pirates in 2022. That match also ended 1-1 and we lost on penalties. This result hurts," said Davids, according to The Citizen Tanzania.
However, despite the disappointment, Simba have secured a substantial prize for finishing as tournament runners-up.
According to CAFOnline, Fadlu’s side will pocket $1 million (R17.9 million) for finishing second, while champions RS Berkane will take home $2 million (R35.9 million).
Davids also mentioned that he was proud of his team’s performance despite the result.
He said: "I am extremely proud of the players. They showed incredible fighting spirit from the first whistle. We played against a very strong team, RS Berkane, who won their domestic league with five matches to spare. But my boys stood tall and gave their all.
"They should walk with their heads held high and their chests out. They gave everything, and for that, I salute them."
