Ex-Ahly star: What I did not like during Pitso's tenure

A former Al Ahly player has spoken out about a particular aspect he did not appreciate during Pitso Mosimane's time in charge of the club.

Mosimane, who led Ahly from 2020 to 2022, enjoyed a highly successful spell in Cairo, guiding the Red Devils to back-to-back CAF Champions League titles in 2020 and 2021.

Jingles, as the South African tactician is fondly known, had also won several domestic trophies with the Egyptian Premier League powerhouse.

While his tenure is widely celebrated, not everyone was fully satisfied with his leadership. A former club midfielder, Ahmed El Sheikh, shared his personal reservations about certain elements of Mosimane’s management.

The 32-year-old player is said to have terminated his contract with Ahly months into Mosimane's arrival due to being snubbed.

"I had no problem going out on loan during my last stint with South African coach Pitso Mosimane, but I didn’t like the idea of being just an employee who only attended training sessions," El Sheikh said per MSN.com.

"I also rejected an offer to play professionally in the Czech league because the timing wasn’t right, and I was ready to play in any strong league at the time.
