An African giant is now said to be seriously considering the appointment of coach Rulani Mokwena, reportedly drawn to the South African's plan to bring a top striker along with him.
Mokwena has been without a job since the mutual termination of his contract with Wydad Athletic Club in May.
Since then, the tactician has been linked with a host of clubs across the continent, including sides in Morocco, Egypt, and South Africa.

The latest club to be linked with Mokwena is Young Africans SC.
Reports in Tanzania suggest that Yanga are looking to appoint a new manager following the departure of Miloud Hamdi, who has joined Egyptian outfit Ismaily.
Two candidates are said to be on the club’s shortlist: Mokwena and French coach Julien Chevalier, currently with ASEC Mimosas.
According to Tanzanian outlet Soka la Bongo, Mokwena is being strongly considered for the Yanga job, and some discussions have already taken place regarding a potential appointment.
The report adds that Young Africans are particularly interested in Mokwena’s plan to bring a high-quality striker with him, should he be appointed.
However, it is noted that although Yanga admire Mokwena, his high salary demands and strict conditions have complicated negotiations.
As a result, Chevalier is now said to be the frontrunner for the role, with his exit from ASEC Mimosas reportedly imminent.
“Everything is in place — the only thing left is the final decision on who will come in. The coach will arrive very soon so we can get started with our preseason schedule,”
said a top Yanga official, according to Soka la Bongo.
