A former Betway Premiership coach can now breath knowing that his Saudi Arabian team, Al-Faisaly FC, has narrowly avoided relegation in the First Division League.
Erstwhile AmaZulu mentor Pablo Franco Martin's side survived relegation in the Saudi First Division League after their latest achievement with one game remaining.
Despite the fact that Martin's team shared the spoils following a 2-2 draw with Al-Ain FC, the currently relegated club, there was cause to celebrate as Faisaly managed to remain in the Arabian second tier.

Martin joined Faisaly in December 2024 after he was let go by Usuthu due to a poor streak of results at the beginning of the 2024/25 season.
The Spanish tactician, who also recruited former Mamelodi Sundowns star Junior Mendieta encountered a difficult start to life in the Gulf region after failing to win games upon his arrival.

However, the 44-year-old UEFA Pro Licence holder, can now breath after managing to take the club out of the relegation and ensured their safety with only one game left.
Faisaly are now 15th in the standings with 34 points, just four points ahead of 16th-placed Al-Ain, who can only finish on 33 points even though they win.
