Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker has bid farewell to Gauteng-bound midfielder Sihle Nduli, whilst also taking the opportunity to welcome two new signings.
Stellies are back in the CAF Confederation Cup next term after finishing the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season in third place. They fell to Simba SC in the semi-final and will welcome the chance to have another go at the inter-club competition.

They will, however, do so without the services of Nduli, who is set to join Orlando Pirates. He is reported to have already signed a contract with the Soweto giants after serving the Cape Winelands outfit for three seasons
“A couple of players are not renewing contracts. Obviously, who is leaving is Sihle Nduli. Personally, I want to thank him for the person and player he is and the commitment he showed with this Football Club, and we are happy he is moving,” Steve Barker told journalists after the league match against Cape Town City at DHL Stadium on Saturday.
“He is a silent leader. He doesn’t talk much but plays and leads by his actions on the field. I just thought it would be a nice touch to send him off as a captain of the team. I reminded many people that he sat many times on the bench for ‘Ox’ (Sibongiseni Mthethwa) and when Ox left, he got his opportunity and grabbed it with both hands.
“So, he served the club and we wish him well,” added the head coach.

Barker has since confirmed the signing of striker Muzomuhle Khanyi from the Motsepe Foundation Championship on a three-year deal.
He has been joined by national U20 star Siviwe Nkwali from Cape Town Spurs.
