OFFICIAL: When Ngezana will discover UCL qualifiers opponents

It has now been confirmed when Siyabonga Ngezana’s FCSB will find out their opponents for the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.

Ngezana is now firmly part of FCSB’s new golden generation, with the club having secured the Romanian SuperLiga title for a second consecutive season.

This marks the first time they’ve achieved back-to-back titles since their three-peat between 2013 and 2016.

FCSB’s league triumph this season has earned them a place in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League preliminary qualifying round, which is set to begin in July.

UEFA has revealed that the draw for the qualifiers will take place on 17 June, when FCSB will learn who they must overcome in their quest to reach the league phase of the competition.

The Champions League qualifying phase consists of three preliminary rounds and a play-off round before teams can book a place in the main competition, which will feature 36 clubs.

According to DigiSport, FCSB already have 14 possible opponents ahead of the draw on 17 June.

FCSB’s potential opponents in the first round of Champions League qualifying are:

Shkendija (North Macedonia), Inter Club d’Escaldes (Andorra), Levadia Tallinn (Estonia), Dinamo Minsk (Belarus), Milsami (Moldova), Kairat (Kazakhstan), Noah (Armenia), Differdange (Luxembourg), Iberia 1999 (Georgia), Hamrun (Malta), Vikingur (Faroe Islands), Shelbourne (Ireland), Egnatia (Albania), and Virtus (San Marino).
