This week, it emerged that the club are closing in on two signings, including the highly sought-after Burkina Faso international Stephane Aziz Ki from Young Africans SC.
The second player on the verge of joining Wydad is believed to be Hamza Hannouri, with the striker reportedly set to sign a three-year deal from FUS Rabat, as per Africafoot.com.
Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has also been linked with Wydad in recent days, but it is far from clear whether there is any truth to these sensational reports.
Nevertheless, it is now said that the Casablanca giants have agreed a deal to sign former Morocco international Nordin Amrabat, the older brother of current Atlas Lions midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
According to Radio Mars, Amrabat has given his approval to sign with Wydad ahead of the Club World Cup, and details are now being finalised before an official announcement.
Amrabat, who is now 38 years old, will be out of contract at English second-tier side Hull City next month.
