KickOff.com can reveal that a Betway Premiership outfit looks to have secured the services of Botswana international Benson Kitso Mangolo.

It appears Richards Bay FC completed the signing this week.

The length of the contract for the Mochudi Centre Chiefs defender is still unknown, but he has already begun training with the KwaZulu-Natal-based team.

Mangolo primarily plays as a left-back but can also fit in at left-centre back, which will be advantageous for the Natal Rich Boyz.

According to sources, the Zebras' star joins as a free agent.

"Yes, Mangolo has secured a lucrative deal with Richards Bay FC. He had initially signed a pre-contract with another South African team but decided to cancel it in favour of this more beneficial deal with Richards Bay FC," a source told KickOff.com.

Having finished in eighth place in 2024/2025, Richards Bay are expecting Mangolo to make his PSL debut in the MTN8 in what is going to be a baptism of fire against league champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

The club is currently short on left-backs and will be counting on their new arrival to help strengthen that position.

At just 26, Mangolo brings a wealth of experience, having previously played for Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy and Singida Fountain Gate FC in Tanzania.
