Komphela expressed his view after Chiefs conceded a controversial goal in a 1-1 draw with Platinum Stars at FNB Stadium last night.
Robert N'gambi's opener for Dikwena did not actually cross the line, but referee Victor Hlungwani saw otherwise - much to the disappointment of Komphela as his side dropped two points at home.
The UEFA Champions League and English Premier League are using goal-line technology, and Komphela hopes the PSL follows suit.
“I think from our side looking that it is not a submission that you come across as an excuse, but clearly this would have been dealt with a better manner had we been having goal-line technology,” said Komphela, who resisted blaming the match officials for the mistake.
“Then you will have a strong case to recommend that it can be used. And looking at the product in the PSL, I think the game has gone into a very high level that we also have to keep up to standard. because one, it's a huge, huge setback. You are dropping two points from the back of that.
“One does not have to complain but you say, put up a case and say make a recommendation. It could work and save our jobs and our lives.”
Stars coach Cavin Johnson agreed with the under-fire Amakhosi boss.
“I think the modern game calls for that and if the Champions League can do it, I don't know if the Spanish League is doing it or Italian League is doing it now,” Johnson said.
“But there was a test and it was done in the Champions League. If the mother body can introduce that then it's fine by me.”
